Volunteer Coaches

Volunteer coaches are the foundation of MRD (Midland Rec Division). Our program relies on dedicated parents, educators, and community members who are willing to invest their time and leadership into developing student-athletes both on and off the field. As a volunteer coach, you play a critical role in teaching fundamentals, promoting teamwork, and modeling the character and accountability we expect from our athletes.
MRD provides a structured, school-based environment with clear rules, defined team formats, and administrative support, allowing coaches to focus on instruction, encouragement, and positive development. More than teaching the game, MRD coaches help reinforce discipline, respect, and responsibility—creating a positive experience that impacts athletes in the classroom, on the field, and within the community.
If you are passionate about youth development and want to make a meaningful difference in Midland schools, we invite you to sign up and become part of the MRD coaching community.
